Boy at work

Hobart City

This is The City. In Hobart the new meets the old. The fabulous sandstone buildings built by convict labor stand in a stately manner next to the contempary buildings of today. The narrow streets are one way then the other. Parking is a commodity and crossing the street can be hazardous. The sidewalks are lined with little cafes crowded with coffee goers. At noon you would be lucky to find a seat in the popular restaurants. A" lunch out culture" is very evident . In most ways it reminds me of Europe with it quaint small businesses however still offering everything a big city should. Posted by Picasa
