The Taste Of Huon

South West of Huonville, at the foot of Hartz National Park is the tiny forestry town of Geeveston. It's a pretty sleepy town during most of the year. The town sees a few tourists passing throught to Hartz Nat. Park in the warm months but other then that it remains mostly resident foresty workers and farmers.

Two days out of the year Geeveston has traffic. Real traffic! The Taste of Huon brings in people from all over Tasmania. Similar to The Taste of Tasmania, food, wine, more food, and more wine take center stage. Street performers and music add to the entertainment. Our kids enjoyed the Bounce-O-Ramas, face painting, carriage ride but the food........... Posted by Picasa
