It was all we could do to prevent the kids from trying to bring home a new pet.

Near a town called Warrnambool, on the Great Ocean Road, a wildlife refuge in a sunken volcanic crater at Tower Hill gave us a glipse of some of the animals we dont get to see in Tasmania.

Our first "big island" adventure, we took a trip along the Great Ocean Road - southwest from Melbourne, along the coast to Port Fairy. A road initially built by WWI veterans, now a spectacular drive.
