Okay, you knew that would catch my eye. I believe that keyboard should belong to me. Supposedly, I use that word alot, and seem to type it more than I would ever care to admit.
Glad you finally got a house, sad you are staying longer. I was looking forward to you coming home to get to know you better. I will take good care of Mrs. Saunders for you. Enjoy this new adventure.
So where is the 'G', or don't Canadians need one, and why is there an 'Eh' on there? Should it have a question mark of its own?
Alice- I almost commented on the G' Key or mate key for the Aussie keyboard and a Hu key for the American keyboard. Funny!
Mrs. Wilson-FYI more people peg my accent for Canadian then American down here. Funny. Everyone in Canada always detected my American accent. I do however...let the odd Eh slip out.
I wonder about that Wendy. People here have trouble telling the difference. They are very apologetic if they ask if I am American and then find out I am Canadian. I wonder if there is a perception that it is worse to mistake a Canadian for an American than it is to take an American for Canadian?
Or maybe those Aussies are just better at differentiating the accents than the Kiwis are.
You still sound Californian to me.
Kathleen- I always come clean with my American heritage. Many people have commented that they make sure to guess Canadian first for the very reason that Canadians are offended about being called Americans. However most still say I sound more Canadian then American even after I have told them I am an American that went to Canada Eh!
Heh heh, love the keyboard graphic. But shouldn't the American one have a "huh" key?
Yeah, Canadians can be touchy. In the 60s backpacking around Europe, got talking to a couple of Canadians. Asked some question that they took as implying they were Americans, and said, (pointing to incredibly small maple leaf pins they were wearing) "Didn't you see our maple leafs?!" Sheesh!
BTW, Wendy, did you know you are "tagged"? By Tanya over at the purple giraffe.
So what about the 'g' words eh? Huh? Er.....
This could be confusing.
Darn it Wendy, I was going to tag you but I see you've already been hit by Tanya.
Val,
I have put up with 14 years of American bashing living in Canada. It is a love hate relationship between the two countries. I think that experience has really taught me lots about how different english speaking countries actually are. Interesting.
I am Japanese. I couldn’t understand this joke. So I asked about it to my friend of Canadian today.
So I got your joke finally. My friend was pleased about my question. (I copied your blog.)
I like your blog. Every time I watched your beautiful pictures.
Thank you.
