Casey stuck his fingers inside the mouth of this parrot fish when we were taking his picture. The parrot fish nearly bit his finger off. I guess it's front teeth are used for crushing shell fish. It also has poisonous spines. Poor Casey! He was ok, just a little shocked as were we. Why does it seem everything in Tasmaninia is so dangerous.

North American Family on the an adventure of a lifetime. We moved from BC Canada to Tasmania six years ago with two kids and hubby who worked in the salmon farming industry. We have loved every moment but our nomadic tendencies have called. We are going bush. Inside are the adventures of our year caravaning around Australia. We want to see it all!

Poor little guy!
You certainly seem to have hit the jackpot what with parrot fish and scorpions. I didn't know they were so prevalent in Australia. I think if I were you I would be contacting the rental agent and arranging to have the place sprayed by a reputable pest exterminator. I definitely wouldn't want to be sharing my house with those critters.
