Ahhhhhhghhh Lovely Spring!
Finally some warmth is upon us. Inspired by the sunshine we all ventured to The Royal Botanical Gardens. I think this is my favorite place to be right now. Each little flower is like a ray of sunshine making my smile as the thoughts of summer emerge from my memory. My past life also remind that the Great Canadian Winter is emerging on the otherside of the world.
These pictures are for the canadian gardeners as they head into the wet, cold pergatory called winter. Enjoy!

What beautiful flowers! Daffodils and leafless yet blooming trees always symbolize spring for me.
Here the first leaves are starting to fall, and it's getting dangerous to walk underneath oak trees lest one get beaned by a falling acorn. Fall is truly on the way.
Lovely photos, Wendy. You certainly let your Canadian friends know that winter is coming, don't you?...lol
The Hobart Bot. Gardens are just beautiful. Such picturesque scenery, too.
BTW, do you ever want to put all of your photos together on the one posting? If so, I can tell you how.
Keep enjoying every day.
Alice
Please let us know how!!!
Lovely spring photos. You must be pinching yourself, thinking how lucky you are to avoid a harsh winter. I grew up in NY, wouldn't want even THAT kind of winter again!
Sandy and Wendy (and anyone else) -if you would like to know how to get all your photos onto the one posting without the laborious ‘cut ‘n’ paste’ method, here's how.
If you use Picasa and post them through Hello, as you send each photo to your blog, instead of pressing the ‘Publish’ button, on your keyboard press SHIFT || (on my keyboard that’s the key just below the ‘backspace’ key and also has a \ on it). Then press Publish. This will put your photo in a queue, waiting for the next photo to be sent. Do this with all photos except the last one, when you should just press ‘publish’ in the normal manner.
This will bring all of your photos into the one posting, in the right order, too. Before Val (Carlton Rules) told me of this little trick, I used to spend ages cutting and pasting in HTML, which was a real pain.
If you need more explanation, please contact me on my email.
Thanks Alice!
lovely flowers!
Spring to Summer
Soft summer breeze makes daisies smile
Tassie’s summers soon, just wait a wee while
Spring to summer tis your Islands delight
Free and carefree, trust no troubles in sight
Spring in the air, new life is awakening
Spring is in the wind, birds are migrating
Spring in the soil, warm sand in your hand
Spring is the air, sweet perfume of your new land
Best wishes
These are such cheerful looking blossoms. Oh, and the steak and kidney pies were GREAT, Wendy!
What a beautiful flowers!
Love all those photos too!
We still have winter to go through. But I am loving our autumn so far.
For pictures on my blog, I just use the Blogger picture tool. It is WAY easier and I don't need extra programs on my computer.
Lindsey- Your quite the poet.
Alice- I don't cut and paste. I just download all pics to Picasa and then hit the blog this button. I'll give it a go your way. Could be faster. Thanks!
Val-Yuck! Ive eaten pirahna, ostrich, emu, aligator, moose, bear, animal hump, heart, tounge, tripe, snails, even guinee pig. Kidney just sounds too rude. Worse yet, in a pie.
Lovely photos Wendy. If I didn't already love Tassie plus, plus, then I wouls after looking at this.
Re picassa - I use that too, but they don't look anywhere near as good as yours!
So much wonderous beauty! Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. I'm wondering what the 'sticks and blossoms' pink blooming tree it. So beautiful!
Good luck queuing your pics in Picasa. The method Alice explained works great.
I can't wait for our Spring.....fall is beautiful, but ug, winter! Don't like it much. Too long and too cold. And I can't garden!! But there are some positives too, which I'll try to remember :)
