Stanley Tasmania (The Nut)

Imagine the views you would have if you lived in Stanley on the North Coast of Tasmania. The large flat rock in know as The Nut. There is a chair lift that will take you to the top but for the physical types...you can also go for the steep trail. I hope for their sake there isn't a tsunami in the near future. Posted by Picasa

Hi Wendy...thank you so much for dropping by my blog...I just had to come see yours now:-) I've been looking through some of your posts and you certainly do have beautiful pictures!! I was interested in learning that you used to live in BC...I have 2 brothers living there, one in Vancouver and the other one in Surrey. I would love to go to Australia one day, I have a pen pal in Tasmania:-)

Hi There I am an Austalian living in Sydney but my heart is still in Tasmania. I have travelled there 3 times now with one time by myself for a month and most recently (Aug 06.) I loved Stanley and enjoyed climbing the Nut and walking all over the top. It is a charming town where you feel like you belong. Tasmania is a very beautiful place and I know I will end up there one day. I admire you for the adventure you and your family are on and what a place you have chosen to go. Have you been down that road through the Tarkine C249 I think it is. What did you think of that? Jason
