Sky Dogs-

This was my last picture and post until mid next week. We are boxing, lifting, packing, wrapping, unpacking, unwrapping, unboxing. It is all so exausting. This will be the fifth time we have move in a year. The new address won't have broadband until mid next week.

My daughter was in tears this morning. She said she didn't want to move again. All I could do was assure her that this would be the last time for a long time. I started thinking about the military families that move so often. It must really take it's toll on the kids. It will be great once it is over and we are all moved in. Goodby until next week! Back to packing. Posted by Picasa

Wendy,
I hope your move goes smoothly. It will be a relief knowing you are going to be settled for a while.
Does your daughter have to change schools?

Moving is horrible...I feel for you! Hope all goes well and the kids settle into the new home well.
How awful that your computer broke down. Glad you have it back. Isn't that an empty feeling...sort of like being cut off from the 'world' :) We lost power for 4 days because of a big snow storm before Christmas. It was terrible!
Best of luck with the move.

Moving is tough. Good luck!

In your picture I see a horse and that Roman Ben Hur cart-thingy.
Geez, I think part of my brain went to sleep!

Have a celebrity drink when you have moved in!! In the meantime, stay calm and I do trust it’s not too much of a hassle. Your seasoned professionals, but I guess its something none of us look forward to doing!

Best wishes

Kerri- They hooked us up two days earlier then expected. That doesn't happen often. I feel intouch again.

Syl-I am still trying hard to see the Roman/Carty-thing (I think it is called a chariate (SP???)) Didn't you see the dogs at all?

Lindsey- Excellent suggestion on the drink!

Donna- no school change thank god.

Hi, This is really freaky, but I think you might have actually bought my house. My ex wife and I sold it to a Wendy and Mark A. I know that the buyers had young children and are from overseas. It is in Blackmans Bay on a gum tree lined street. I don't want to say too much more here to protect your privacy, but if you check out my webpage tasweb.org we should be able to work out if it is the same house. I stumbled across your excellent blog after following a hideously long trail of links starting from some place that I can't remember.

Phil- We love it. Thanks for selling it to us. It is a pretty special neighborhood. The tire swing is a real hit and the kids are thrilled with the large, fenced yard. It is lovely. I hope your kids find somewhere just as nice.
What a coincidence that you found my blog. I started it to keep intouch with my family and friends in N. America however it has hits from lots of interesting places. FYI the room off of the kitchen has been designated The Blogging Room. I will link your site.

Cheers,
W

Thats amazing. I really can't beleive that with the size of the internet I stumbled across you guys. Hope you and your family enjoy the house as much as we did. I notice that you mention bugs a lot. You have just bought almost an acre of some of the coolest bugs in the area. My son waged war on the ants regularly, but never made much headway. Look out for the black cockatoo's that sometimes land in the trees and if you don't have a dog the bandicoots should come back after dark, look for strange conicle little holes in the backyard "grass" that they make digging for grubs.

All the best,
Phill.

Phil- My kids too have the greatest time bug hunting. Ant wars have already began. We will look for the bandicots but was have a big dog so not hopeful.Darn!

I love the black cockatoos and look forward to seeing them. I need a pic of one for my blog. This is a really special place and we feel lucky to have it.
Stop in my blog anytime for our N. American persective on our Tasmanian adventure. I wanted to post house pics but as you know, can't be too careful. Let me know if your son ever come across a leathal weapon for the war on ants.
Cheers,
W

Sandy-What a coincidence Eh!
