It attracts some of the finest horses in the world as well as the finest fashions in hats. The pics below were downloaded and arn't my own. Next year...I will be there. I was facinated by the race and the Aussie spirit behind it. They love their throughbreds and they love their gambling. Check out some of these hats.

Amazing hats! Imagine trying to keep them on all day. I hope you get to go to the Melbourne Cup next year, Wendy, but don't go in the second week of November or you'll miss it. It's actually the first Tuesday.
